‘Yashovani’ works towards empowering the visually challenged by converting all reading material to audio format. From academic books, general reading, magazines to daily newspapers, this team works relentlessly towards sharing the knowledge in the best possible way. My mother is working closely with the founder Prachi Gujar who has done outstanding work over the past years. Today the group has around 400 enthusiastic readers who voluntarily record books and offer their support. They have recorded over 6000 books till date.
On the occasion of World Book Day today, taking this opportunity to share the glorious work of this benevolent group of passionate people.
I always take inspiration from Aai, Prachi mavshi and her team and will consider myself fortunate if I can inherit even 10% of their goodness.

‘यशोवाणी ’ ही संस्था सर्व वाचनसाहित्य ऑडिओ स्वरूपात रूपांतरित करून दृष्टिहीन व्यक्तींना सक्षम बनवण्याचे काम करते. शैक्षणिक पुस्तके, सर्वसाधारण वाचन, मासिके ते दैनंदिन वृत्तपत्रांपर्यंत, हे सर्व ज्ञान शक्य तितक्या उत्तम पद्धतीने लोकांपर्यंत पोहोचवण्यासाठी ही टीम अखंड परिश्रम घेत आहे.
माझी आई या उपक्रमाच्या संस्थापक Prachi Gujar यांच्यासोबत काम करत आहे. गेल्या काही वर्षांत त्यांनी अत्यंत उल्लेखनीय कार्य केले आहे. आज या समूहात सुमारे ४०० उत्साही वाचक आहेत, जे स्वयंसेवक म्हणून पुस्तके रेकॉर्ड करून आपला मोलाचा सहभाग देतात. यांनी आजवर ६००० हून अधिक पुस्तके रेकॉर्ड केली आहेत.
आज जागतिक पुस्तक दिनाच्या निमित्ताने, या उदात्त कार्य करणाऱ्या या team चे कार्य share करावे असे वाटले.
आई, प्राची मावशी आणि त्यांच्या टीमकडून मला नेहमीच प्रेरणा मिळते. त्यांच्या उत्साहाच्या १०% जरी भाग माझ्यात आला तरी मी स्वतःला भाग्यवान समजेन.
संपूर्ण टीमला माझ्या मनःपूर्वक शुभेच्छा आणि खूप प्रेम. त्यांच्या Title song संगीत देण्याची आणि गाण्याची संधी मला मिळाली, ज्याचे शब्द Ashwini Marathe (आणखी एक अप्रतिम यशोवाणी सदस्य) यांनी लिहिले आहेत.
