2026, where UPI rules

Today I went to the local grocery store and bought what I wanted, instead of using an instant delivery app. I paid by cash and asked the shop uncle to give me some chocolates because I didn’t have change. The gentle smile which materialised on his face, spoke so many unsaid things. I am a complete techno-savvy person & am on my front foot to use all the latest tech available. I love the convenience of UPI & the digital accountability it enables. But I just realised that I had forgotten the little bits of happiness like these in life.

Sometimes, it’s these small, unexpected moments that stay with you. No app or technology can really replace the warmth of a real interaction : the smile, the eye contact, the feeling of being seen. It made me realise that while convenience is great, I don’t want to lose these little joys that make everyday life feel a bit more human.
