Navratri celebrations are still on and I am taking this opportunity to sing one of my personal favourite ‘Gondhal’ composed by Ajay Atul! Like I have always expressed in my previous blogs, during our live concerts, I have never had the opportunity to sing these gems. I just knew the chorus part of this song very well and when I learnt the entire song to record it for this Friday, I came across many new aspects of appreciation for the phenomenal Ajay Atul. We have enjoyed sp many of their brilliant works. For me, personally, the one part that stands apart in their songs are the harmonies. For example, in this song the signature line of ‘Aaj Gondhala yeeee …’ has a magnificent harmony behind it and I enjoyed singing it so much!
Would you love to read more about such technical aspects of the songs? Or rather listen to them? I have been meaning to start a podcast about this since a long time. Let me know what you think!
Hope you like my honest attempt at this masterpiece. Do share it with your loved ones and keep listening and blessing!
